TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF "WALKIES"
Description
"Walkies" is a completely free service to connect dog lovers with each other.
A person can sign up as dog owner and connect their profile to register any amount of dogs they own. They will need to provide official documents of ownership when registering a dog. These documents will only be seen and checked by our security team and not made public at any point.
A person can register as a dog walker. They will need to provide personal information upon registering. There is an age limit restriction on registration which will be covered further down under the section "Age Restriction".
This platform is reliable on the honesty and professional behavior of the registered people, so please make sure the information you provide is correct, the official documents are available, and you behave respectfully, friendly, and honest. This platform values diversity, so if there is any discriminatory behavior, your account will be suspended indefinitely and you will be prevented from registering again.
Liability
We do not take liability for any issues that arise before, after or during the appointments with dog walkers or owners have been made. Our aim is simply to give a platform to give visibility and the option to exchange information between the two parties (dog owners and walkers).
"Walkies" is not responsible for the correctness or accuracy of any of the information given and provided on any of the profiles on the platform.
"Walkies" is not liable for any misinformation, misunderstandings, bookings, or walks.
After the "Contact" button is pressed "Walkies" is no longer a part of and no longer liable for the arrangement or processes following.
Costs and Insurance
There are no hidden costs anywhere on this platform, yet that means that there is no insurance, vet bills, or safety included when booking through "Walkies".
"Walkies" does not cover any commute costs, dog food, or other types of costs that arise. It is the responsibility of the dog owner and walker to trust each other to care for the animal correctly.
"Walkies" does also not cover any text messaging costs or phone credit that arises when owners and walker contact each other outside or during the walks.
Dog Owners
It is fully up to the owners of the dogs to have complete documentation of vet information, medication.
They are responsible that the information put up about their dog is accurate and reflects the personality of their dog.
They are also responsible to not accept booking inquiries by people they do not deem suitable for their dog.
Dog Walkers
Dog walkers are able to put up their information to book and be requested by dog owners to walk their dog(s).
They are responsible that the dog is returned safely after finishing the walk.
If a booking request is denied by a dog owner, "Walkies" is not liable for the choice of the dog owner.
Age Restriction
The minimum age for joining "Walkies" is 16. From this age (16) up to the age of 18 the account must include the parent's information as well as the joining member's. For every booking inquiry, the confirmation must be made by the parents through a system of email and phone.
After turning 18, if the dog walker is able to provide official proof of age, their account will lose the parent's control and confirmation feature. If the official documentation of age has been given upon registering already, the profile will switch off the parent feature automatically. Please give it up to two weeks until the feature has been taken out by our team before contacting us about it.
